Brandt · Certified Car Workshop

A certified car workshop with two lifts and a full order book. The brief: take appointments without anyone having to crawl out from under a car.

Brandt · Certified Car Workshop — Certified Workshop · All Makes
02 · Situation

How the business runs today.

An established master-certified workshop on the edge of town: the owner holds the master craftsman's certificate, plus one mechanic and one apprentice, two lifts. The business runs on regulars and referrals, and capacity is well used — the problem is not demand, it is the path demand takes into the calendar. Appointments are booked exclusively by phone, and the phone rings loudest exactly when both hands are on a car: drop-off in the morning, pick-up in the afternoon. Whatever is not answered lands on a call-back list for after closing. The website comes out of a ten-year-old site builder — one photo, opening hours, a phone number. That this is a master-certified shop with full diagnostic equipment and excellent reviews is written nowhere.

03 · Problem

What's actually going wrong.

01

The phone rings into the work itself.

Whoever is lying under a car does not pick up. Calls arrive in exactly the hours when cars are dropped off, repaired, and handed back — whatever gets missed goes on a call-back list for after closing. By then, part of those callers have booked with a shop that was reachable online.

02

Every appointment costs two conversations.

First the call with the question, then the call-back with the slot — and if a part needs ordering, a third conversation. Scheduling is coordination work squeezed between two jobs. It costs time every single day that is missing at the lift.

03

The craft is invisible online.

Master certificate, modern diagnostic equipment, excellent reviews — none of it is visible on the website. What's there: one old photo and the opening hours. Whoever doesn't already know the shop finds no reason online to trust it with their car.

04 · Goal

What we are working toward.

01

Appointments without the phone

An appointment request with the concern and a preferred window, sent in thirty seconds — even on a Sunday evening when the warning light comes on.

02

Fewer interruptions in the day

Requests collected in the inbox instead of calls ringing into the work — handled whenever it fits the day.

03

Trust made visible

Master certification, equipment, reviews — visible to everyone who doesn't know the shop yet.

05 · Solution

The decisions we make.

01

Appointment request instead of a hard booking calendar.

A rigid booking calendar doesn't match workshop reality: jobs vary in length, parts have lead times. A request with a preferred window and a short description — confirmed or shifted with one reply — respects how the shop actually runs, and is still binding for the customer.

02

Vehicle data inside the request.

Make, model, year, mileage — in the form instead of in the third phone call. The owner sees what the job is before replying, and parts can be pre-ordered. Two conversations per appointment become one — or none.

03

Services with price ranges, not a price list.

Fixed prices are unrealistic in a workshop — but an honest “from” range for standard jobs like MOT or a minor service lowers the threshold for the request. Transparency beats the taximeter feeling.

04

Show the workshop as it is.

Real photography of the hall, the lifts, the diagnostic bay instead of stock photos. The order and equipment of a workshop are its strongest silent sales argument — they just have to be visible.

05

Reviews as evidence, not claims.

Anyone can write “reliable and fair” about themselves. Embedded reviews from established platforms — linked to the source — are evidence instead of assertion. For a shop that lives on referrals, this is word of mouth continued online.

06 · Features

What the site can do.

Appointment request with preferred window

Concern, vehicle, two preferred slots — confirmed by email, no phone queue.

Service overview with price ranges

MOT, service, tyres, A/C — with honest “from” prices instead of a taximeter feeling.

A photo instead of a description

A WhatsApp link for the quick question — photograph the warning light instead of describing it.

Reviews right on the page

Embedded reviews from established platforms — visible, linked to the source.

Workshop tour in pictures

Hall, lifts, diagnostic bay — real photography instead of stock.

Requests stay with the shop

Appointment requests go straight to the workshop inbox — no portal, no middleman commission.

Mobile first, literally

The request works from a parking lot with one thumb — not just from a desk.

Found when people search

Structured data for local search — services and opening hours right in the results.
